Q: How do pick-up, on-site and off-site services work?
A: We provide the same services off-site or at our location. In order to do this our specialists need to pick up your computer from your place. After the repairing of the computer is done our technicians will bring it back to you. You don't have to do anything but just be there when we come to you for pick up or drop off. Service call fee of $29.99 will apply to all customers requesting on-site or off-site computer services in Lexington. For services outside Lexington, traveling fee of $49.99 will apply
Q: What if I miss my appointment
A: If you do not contact Pcfixteam a minimum of two (2) hours prior to your appointment to cancel or otherwise reschedule your appointment, you will be charged, at Pcfixteam`s option, a missed appointment fee according to the following schedule: Physical On-Site Computer Support: $40 missed appointment fee. Missed appointment is considered in case of 15 minutes no show up.

Q: What are the regular Pcfixteam labor rates?
A: Pcfixteam labor rates start from $75/hour for Desktop computer support, troubleshoot, basic networking (hubs, switches, consumer wireless, etc), Internet access, printers. For Server support, Advanced networking (routers, firewalls, business wireless, proxy servers, etc), data recovery, backups, consulting, planning, advanced application support, etc. - $95/hour. Discounts are available on labor for customers that have a current maintenance contract up to 30%

A: Yes. There are various ways to accomplish this, and we can help you figure out the best method to fit your needs. Sharing broadband access means that each computer in your home can access your single cable or DSL line and experience the Internet at blazing-fast speed.
Q: So what's a local area network, then?
A: A local area network (LAN) is simply a group of computers that are "linked" together under a workgroup or a domain. A LAN can facilitate file and printer sharing as well as application hosting and a variety of other useful tools, depending on the situation.
Q: Do I need a firewall?
A: If you have broadband Internet access, a software or hardware firewall is always a good idea. There are a handful of good utilities available, both as licensed software and as freeware. Keep in mind that you may have to do some configuration depending on how you use your computer.
Q: How do I know if I need more memory?
A: Adding memory to a computer is one of the easiest ways to improve its performance and avoid freezes or crashes. Typically, if you have less than 128 MB of memory, it is a good idea to upgrade. If you work with images, music, video or gaming on your computer, it is a good idea to have as much memory as possible.
Q: Can my computer handle the latest operating system?
A: Windows XP requires at least 128 MB of RAM and a Pentium II processor at 300 MHz or the equivalent. You also need at least 4 GB of disk space. Macintosh OS X 10.2 requires at least 128 MB of RAM as well (though more is preferable) and a Power PC model Mac or greater. At least 4 GB of disk space is also ideal.

A: Just make sure an adult, a person 18 years of age or older, is present during the entire time period that Pcfixteam is in your home. The Pcfixteam technician will also need your consent to enter your residence, a safe working environment, and full access to what technology products they will be working on. Upon arrival, our technician will provide you with proper identification.
